There's two ways the Formenton stuff shakes out and in neither scenario is one of the teams doing this. If Formenton is clear why would Ottawa ever move him for such a terrible return, and if he's not nobody is touching him and he should be booking a ticket to Russia if he wants to continue his hockey career.

However, I am not sure that even if he is connected with it there wouldn't be a team willing to take a chance on him. Deangelo was punched out by teammates and had to get censored by the league but still got a $5 AAV contract, I know not the same, but I would think someone in a small market where the fan base is oblivious would take him at a min contract.

Look, I hate Tony DeAngelo as much as anyone, but there's a major gap between him being a racist homophobe who is by all accounts a huge prick, and the things that those eight players are alleged to be involved with. There's no chance any player found to be involved will be in the NHL.

Fair Point. I think it just really comes down to what actually happened and how much was each player involved in it.
