Habs decline. Not because of value but because that 2nd will be pretty high pick in a deep draft. I think if that the price Habs hold onto Hoffman for season and buy him out next offseason?

lol if the Sabres did that, Hoffman would be in the press box. Okposo is also a 4th liner. Fitzgerald is also like the 9th Dman

I honestly hope so. I have not seen Buffalo make the playoffs since I became a NHL fan, and would like to see it for the loyal Sabers fans

Only tuch, Thompson and skinner had more ice time per game than okposo.

I have no idea why other fanbases think Montreal has to pay anyone to dump any of our players. We are near the cap but have other options unless we try to add another player, then a trade would have to have cap going back the other way but we are not over the cap right now or after resigning both Primeau and Dach.

Okposo is a 4th liner. You do that yourself in your own ACGM teams

Yeah, he played the majority of his shifts with Girgensons and Eakin. He was a really good 4th liner

Okposo was 4th of the Sabres forwards in TOI/G, and was in a 4 way tie for 130th in points among forwards in the league, which puts him as an average 2nd liner in terms of production. (130/32= 4.0625 which means the average team had 4 forwards that outproduced him). But yeah, he’s a fourth liner 🙄

Just because a player is good at defense doesn’t make him a 4th liner. I’d bet that Kyle will be no lower than 7th in forwards in TOI/G for the Sabres next year.

And if you prefer goal production, he was in a 12 way tie for 112th of of forwards in the league.

What makes him a 4th liner is playing a majority of his shifts with other 4th liners

So how good a player he is depends on who he plays with? Also, Girgs was 8th in forwards in TOI/G (not counting Quinn/JJP for only playing 2 games) so he would be considered a Sabres 3rd liner for last year.
And I’m pretty sure the majority of his shifts were not with both Eakin and Girgs. It may have been his most common line combo, but not the majority of his shifts, as he got PK and Pp time. Murray-Cozens-Okposo was a line for pretty much all of the 19 games Murray was up. Girgs only played 56 games, so there’s another chunk. Your argument is idiotic, especially because the base of it is factually incorrect.
Dinner’s frozen tools tracks line combos. They only have 65.7% of Okposo’s even strength time tracked for last year, but only 24% of that was with Eakin and Girgs, and 41.7% was a different line. I’m willing to bet that of the missing 34.3%, at least 8.3% was away from them.

He spent more ES time skating with Dylan Cozens than he did with Eakin or Girgensons, and absolutely lapped both of those guys in PP time. He averaged nearly 18 minutes a night for Buffalo last year, making him clearly part of their top 6 forwards, regardless of how his linemates may have shuffled throughout the year. Just an absolutely weird hill to die on.

360 minutes with 4th liners 230 minutes with dylan cozens even strength any combination of the 3rd guy, so you are incorrect

16:47 TOI every night is not a 4th liner my dude, i don't know why this is something you're digging your heels in so strongly on. i don't care if he spent half his ES time with Jeremy Bracco, he's still being deployed like a top 6 player when he's getting nearly 2 minutes of PP time every night and 1:24 on the PK to boot.
