Drouin is healthy to play and Price will start out the season, whether he stays or not only time will tell. Armia needs to play so they can trade him as fast as possible. They need to raise his value, so making him sit for $3.4m is not an option. Schueneman and Pezzetta are better in Laval if they are sitting as well.

I disagree, Drouin has had some setbacks and it is not known if he will be healthy enough to start the season, Byron will be out about 5 months longer and the Price situation is as clear as mud LOL. Pezzetta and Schueneman are the most likely to be the 13th F and 7th D in every scenario also did not mess with the D much because for the most part it will remain the same. The most important thing here though is to note the options available for the Habs without trading away players as cap dumps.

I think that may be a good thing. You don't need to be good this year, just competitive and developing young players. No need to be great.
trading for Dadonov was a steal, 50% at the TDL and you shed basically $8m for the next 3 years and ~$3m for this year. Now they can take on contracts in order to load up on assets and get a shot at the trade lottery. Look at the Atlantic, it's not going to be a "let's try for the playoffs" year.

yea i think its probably for the best the habs tank but they are still going to need to get the puck to their forwards if they want to develop them. no idea who's going to do the puck moving on that d but it aint going to be pretty.
