You gotta stop. Neither one of the guys you’ve mentioned has succeeded at 2C in the NHL. 8 games is a tiny sample size. Necas analytics have plummeted pretty badly the last 2 seasons.

You’re here acting like KK and/or Necas have proven stardom in the league when neither has done a whole lot.

You gotta stop buddy. You talk about Necas' analytics, Kotkaniemi's have IMPROVED since he got to Carolina, and they were already pretty damn good in the D zone. You're acting like they're both flops, and that is just wrong. Honestly, just please stop talking about something you obviously have very little knowledge of. Necas' analytics dropped last year, but the shortened season they were still pretty fine.

You're acting like neither player is young and like neither player was drafted with the idea of being a 2C. You have to stop. Ask any Canes fan, and they will tell you moving into next year with Kotkaniemi and Necas dueling for the 2C spot is not an issue. They'll likely point you to the Gardiner deal and Martinook being a black hole if you're looking for a problem on the roster. The 2C isn't it. You gotta stop.

It’s great to be optimistic but the fact is neither has proven their ready for 2C. Period end of story.

Agree to disagree. Kotkaniemi has proven he's capable of playing that role. People forget how important he was during the Habs finals run, and with how good he was last year (At points purely displacing Trocheck as the 2C) he's proven it. End of story. Period. End of discussion. Stop watching stat sheets and watch some Canes games before you question it
