I’d drop it all together, don’t see a reason for us to give up a pick, a prospect, a young NHLer or anything here. TOR needs to move cap out and having 5M+ cap hit next year with Zegras, Terry and Drysdale all due for new deals. Honestly I don’t think just a 23 first is enough for me to take Muzzin on if all we send back is future considerations.

We can just go sign a Calvin DeHaan type FA or look elsewhere for 1 year cap dumps.

I just see Terry and Z taking up at least 14M AAV, Drysdale could fall anywhere at this point. Getting a player with injury problems getting paid that much isn’t ideal us in my eyes. A trade up around 15 picks doesn’t really move the needle for me

We’re never going to agree 100% of the time haha, it’s all part of the offseason. We’ve had a few years of this now between what I’ll call the “original” Cap Friendly Ducks contingent between the two of us and Lenny keeping each other as honest as possible makes us better hockey fans.

And a willingness to admit I may be completely alone in thinking this isn’t enough and I could be flat out wrong goes a long way as well

The only think I will say in defending this idea is that I am assuming that it's a move of about 20 picks because it's specifically the middle of our three second-rounders, not the earliest, but I can certainly see your points, especially about the second year.
