Description
This team I feel like can take a big step. They have the players to lift them to another level. You got an elite top line, a solid two way line, a third line that can be a hell of a young and high energy line, and a high energy aggressive 4th line. At least that’s the way it looks to me.
That defence core looks solid man. Nothing need to be said
Goaltending looks good. Flower can be so good with the team in front of him. Gustavsson can be a good back up if that’s the plan as he is young and has shown a lot of great upside in the past.
I absolutely love seeing how this team looks like and how much potential there is. They still need some forward depth to come in when there injuries obviously but this team looks great to me

That's one way to look at it. I'm seeing a team that hopes a rookie will replace the production of their 2nd best point producer and a team that, last year, got career-best production of multiple players who won't replicate those numbers this year.

I'm seeing no top6 scoring centers and a goalie who will turn 38 next season. No matter how athletic Fleury is, he can't start ~50 games without it affecting his play.

That being said, this still is a playoff team if they can get Kaprizov out of Russia

The Russia stuff sucks but I think they’ll be fine honestly. They lost Fiala but they can still be a good team. It’s time for Rossi to make the team I think. Nothing but good stuff from him. Matthew Boldy even though some of his production came from playing with Fiala, I believe can still put up some pretty solid production. Those two have pretty high ceiling potential and I believe they can live up to it. The centre position will be fine I think. Especially with the amount of production Hartman put up. Playing between Zuccarello and Kaprisov. And then you got Eriksson-Ek. He sort of just put up 26 goals and 23 assists this season and still relatively young. I feel like he’ll keep improving. You can still get so much more production from the lineup. For Flower I feel like his numbers will look better playing 60 games this season again since he’s playing for Minny and not the hell hole of Chicago.

I made a mistake. I thought Flower played 60 games in the regular season. He played 56. But he’s still going to be a good goalie for the Wild I think

Yeah, Flower's numbers bounced back immediately after leaving Chicago. But still, I feel like this team just took a step back this offseason even though they didn't have what it takes last season, either.

It definitely does suck what they had to go through due to cap issues. It sucks even more that was because of the Suter and Parise buyouts. But their youth can step in and can make an impact soon.
