Hard to make a blockbuster trade when other teams in the NHL not interested in dealing with Rutherford and Allvin.

Whoever said the stagnation of the market was on those two specifically?

You can't be afraid to give up something to make a trade......and right now Allvin and Rutherford are looking scared to make a trade.

Some of Rutherford's last trades in Pittsburg did not really work out very well for the Penquins.

Do you even follow the Canucks?

Do you not remember Mr. Rutherford telling us all about the need for the Canucks to create CapSpace, the need to get younger and critizing the team's defensive zone exits and giving the impression to fans of big changes comming which he has done very little to date.

He did say those things, but he ALSO said that he doesn't want to force any trades, because if one does that, they're pretty much guaranteed to lose the deal. Better to remain conservative as long as one is cap compliant than just attempt to start fireworks for the sake of that. In other words, you missed the other part of Rutherford's messaging, or you're just choosing to not mention it for the sake of dissing another fanbase

I get what you are saying......but to my mind........Rutherford is expecting Canucks fans to put their heads under the ground like an Ostrich and trust him that things will get better without making any trades to improve the team.

He has done nothing to improve the Canucks defence which is very weak and particually on the right side.

He has also pushed the Canucks over the Cap by signing Mikhayev which contradicts everything he said about the importance of finding Cap Space and going to push the Canucks against the wall to make some trades before the season starts to again get under the Cap.

Vancouver's defense is at worst mediocre, you greatly underestimate it. The team is cap compliant, they also said they weren't interested in clearing cap space JUST for the sake of clearing cap space, if the move out cap space, their intentions will be to re-allocate it in some other form. You also missed that part. If you think Rutherford is just asking Canuck fans to stick their head in the sand, you're clueless. If anybody needs to take their head out of the sand, it's you

I stopped dring the Canucks kool-aid from both Benning and now Rutherford & Allvin when I realized it was making me sick.
