Why is erik brannstrom in on most of Sens proposals? He got his warts but you could regret letting him go big time. I would love him on the Habs

Because of that potential he has. He will be barried behind sanderson and chabot but is a good peice to help bring in a bigger fish

It's nice additions but they might be better off long term giving younger players a spot. But can't argue this wouldn't make them better

Brannstrom needs a new start. He came in with massive expectations and hasn't been a defensive or offensive upside player yet. Still young but a new team might give him a new outlook and opportunity. He doesn't seem to fit well with Smith (a Dman's damn in his days) as a left shot RD or an offensive Dman. I see it like a Tyson Barrie scenario.

Adding an overpaid 3C is absolutely not where Ottawa needs to be diverting resources. They need top 4 help on the blueline and Subban isn't close to that

One trade i would like would be a ethan bear for erik branstrom. Ottawa has too many left handed dman and and carolina has too many right handed dman. Bear would get a much bigger role in ottawa, where branny would get to learn from one of the leagues best d core and could work his way into the top 4 when jake gardiener and brent burns take a step back
