Prefer the complete sell high rebuild, tear it right back to the kids, but this is starting to grow on me a bit. Toews with the right hunger, drive, and health could be a interesting player to bring cup winning pedigree and possibly heal a room. Tatar type offensive veteran for top 9 never hurts, possibly straight grind line and save Appleton to have a role with toews or higher. Such a shrinking window with interesting contract decisions everywhere you turn around, I just wish they decide either way and not try to do both half assed.

I’d honestly have one more go at it this year and look to retool / rebuild next offseason.

If Toews wants out hawks probably have to accept whatever they can get, so this is fine
