Only one problem, with the depth of D-men in BUF I doubt that would interest them. With that said, with the team presented here there is a good chance to do back to back

Jokiharju stats
60 3 16 19 -8

Girard stats (on a much stronger team by the way)
67 5 23 28 -4

Not that much difference if you ask me. Seems like only real benefit would be COL with 5 M extra in cap.

Imagine thinking you can compare two players with game played, goals, assists and +/- … Girard is a #3 dman and some will say a #2 while Joker is a #5 … they aren’t close

@TheRealisticGuy you are absolutely correct using stats to compare two players.
Let's look at +/- Colorado scored 78 more goals than they gave up, Buffalo gave up 58 more goals than they scored yet Girard was on the ice for more GA than GF imagine what a strong defender he must be?
Colorado scored nearly a G/G more than Buffalo it is not hard to imagine a defender having more pts playing for a higher scoring team.
Finally, all four cup finalist played with 3 RHD and 3 LHD but Buffalo will go against the obvious success and go with FIVE LHD and ONE RHD.
This trade makes no sense for Buffalo.
To give up a good LHD prospect, and two seconds for a player who does not fit into the line up sounds like this was a Tim Murray post.

So you’re conceding that they put up similar point totals when Girard gets significantly more ice time. Is he a better player than Jokiharju? Probably. Is he so much better that he deserves the significant amount more money he gets than Jokiharju? That’s debatable. Would I make this trade as it stands? I think about it, but Colorado fans say it’s a gross under payment and they would never actually accept it.

I can't call you a clown, but I can say you are telling jokes like one. Thinking that comparing two athletes using statistics "what a far out concept" grin
