I still like the idea of going after Jakob Chychrun. I know for an absolute fact he would come here and would be excited. He likes the moves and direction of the team. (Credit to Sens off-season)

Buddy, you gotta temper your expectations for Thomson and Grieg. They're both good prospects but it is extremely unlikely either of them turn into a star, while Chychrun is a star in the prime of his career, on a fantastic contract.

Chychrun had 1 good year and has never played 82 games or anything close to that

Thomson can turn into a Rasmus Andersson type and Greig into a great 2nd liner and that 1st is in a deep draft

Good luck signing Brinks and Stu next year. Gonna be tight on space.

We have $30M in projected cap space, but I appreciate your concern.

The next few contracts are gonna make a huge difference for the Sens, Cap, and Asset management is really going to become a thing. Especially when in reality the Sens Cap is internal and not even the League number.

Has Greig been included in talks for Chushyrn, I have heard it was mostly a D prospect and a 1st. Agreed with notes above here, and Grieg is way too valuable to be moved for Chuycrun. Wait another year and sign Weegar,

And they could also be busts.

I'd rather a current star player than a couple of prospects who probably have a 25% chance of being solid NHLers.

It's clear that Eugene's daughters aren't as worried about internal budget and are willing to spend if it makes sense. Eugene never would've given the green light for this kind of off-season.
