Description
I rate Dobson very highly so I would be willing to give up some more. The untouchables would be any 2022 draft selections, Caufield, Suzuki, Roy, Farrell and probably Dach since we just acquired him.

If Isles fans would rather Dvorak, Edmundson or Savard instead of Anderson, then im fine with that.

Blackwood trade is just for fun. I have no clue what his value is

Can’t see that being enough for Dobson, you’re about one 1st rd pick short imo.

I’m one of Blackwoods bigger believers in the Devils community but that seems like a decent bit of value for him, would want the Devils to at least consider that if offered.

That's a really uninspiring offer for Dobson. You want elite you have to either pay alot or give up elite.

Elite is thrown around way too much. Dobson isnt elite. Below average defensive numbers for a D man playing in a defensive system isnt great. Offensively has room to grow to be more consistent but a Dmans job is to defend at the end of the day

Dobson is already a top pair defenseman at 22 YO. His defensive metrics are average , ranked 3rd among isles Dmen in defensive impact.

Playing top pair and being elite are 2 different things. His 5v5 metrics both defensive and offensively are average. Other than his 51 points, he’s been average

Pulock is the only elite d man on the Isles.

Looks like Lou wants to give him a bridge. Dobson wants the money now. That’s a huge difference in money and term

You are wrong. His 5v5 metrics are good and he has one the best penalty differentials in the league.

pelech is literally better than pulock though? lmfao, if any d-man on the isles is elite it’s him (and he is).

dobson’s got room to grow defensively but i think getting rid of chara’s going to do him a world of good. his offensive metrics from everything i’ve seen were great, though he was especially good on the PP.
