Avs decline - they can't afford to re-sign Miller so they aren't giving up young, cost-controlled assets to get him

1) obviously that value is terrible for Ottawa. 2) I'm begging people to look at a map of Ontario. Kitchener is like a 5-6 hour drive. It's like driving from Vancouver to Seattle and back.

Pearson isn't worth either of those two players, would be lucky to get a fourth with what we have seen this offseason.
Don't think the avs consider this, they would rather keep their young defenceman and develop their young centre than pay that for Miller.

Doesn't sound that bad of a drive to me but Toronto is probably good childhood team.

i think the whole Giroux thing got people tied up on the if they were born anywhere in Ontario they want to be a sens.

Sens Decline, you would think people understand by now Sens are not taking players as dumps anymore. But I keep seeing Josh Bailey and Pearson trades on here, lol.

I'm honestly not convinced you could give Pearson away for free this offseason. Have you noticed the value of wingers in flat cap?

Not only value is bad for Ottawa but they WANT young D-men and not veteran forwards that they don't need.

There's just no spot for pearson, even for free. Heck, I wouldn't take him unless at least a 2nd would come with him

Pearson isn't a negative asset, and he has more value than Brannstrom

Ok you clearly didn't get it

1) There's just no spot for Pearson, even for free : doesn't matter what Pearson is worth, Sens wouldn't take him for free. They just dumped a much better player in Connor Brown.

2) I wouldn't take him unless at least a 2nd would come with him : this is my personal opinion, I wouldn't take him unless a 2nd would come with him. Again, that has nothing to do with Pearson's value

All that being said, look at Brown, Pacioretty and Bjorkstrand returns. Pearson is not worth anything RIGHT NOW.

LMFAO, Sens didn't "dump" Connor Brown, you guys got a 2nd for him. Sens were never going to get a 1st for him

At last deadline they could have easily gotten a 1st +, as he has been quite more productive than players who did while being the 2nd most used NHL forward on the PK and a top matchup forward at ES. Basically, he's a 50 pts forward who mostly produces while defending. That's pretty valuable

But Dorion doesn't have any idea how to manage assets. For example, I was screaming hard to trade Chris Tierney in the summer of 2019, and even in 2020 but it never happened until his value completely plummeted.

Dorion wouldn't be able to make money flipping a house in my area, lol

So yes Brown for a 2nd was a dump. Same for Bjorkstrand and Pacioretty dumps

Then why wasn't he traded at the past deadline for a 1st +? Since he only fetched a 2nd in the off-season. I'm not sure I believe you man

I have been extremely busy but like I said, Pierre Dorion has no idea what asset management means. And he has no foresight

So the combination of both makes it that he didn't plan to trade Connor Brown last deadline. Sens were not close to playoffs team. He should have traded for SURE.
