I had Marino and Blueger deals in the past and Sabres fans really liked both players. Would Brett Murray and a 3rd be better?

I hear big pay day and we can't afford him and it really makes me think do I really want to spend a 2nd for a situation like that.
Seems like buf would have a bit of bargaining power in that negotiation.

I mean realistically we can pay him but I do not want to because we have Carter currently. Wish we would have let Carter walk and let Blueger be our 3C because when he has played more minutes, he has thrived

I think the Sabres aren’t planning on having a traditional checking line this year. I think they want Thompson-Cozens-Mitts-Krebs down the middle, with 4 scoring lines (Cozens line likely being a strong two way line). KA is very against blocking prospects, and I don’t think the Sabres would be a great fit with one of their Cs being pushed to W and not having enough room for both JJP/Quinn. Marino would have been a better fit than Blueger, as we don’t have many Rd coming in soon.
