Yes I know there's rumors that Kadri is going to the Islanders.

Yes I know Montreal can just wait two years and get Dubois for nothing in free agency.

Yes I know the Canucks don't have much cap space but perhaps they make another deal to open up some cap space.

Idk what the Flyers cap situation is, the Jets wouldn't trade Lowry anyway cause for some reason this organization likes him even though he's terrible, just needed to open up some cap so sent him to Philly, seems like a team that'd like a player like Lowry.

Overpaying Kadri is a bad idea but so is keeping Dubois longer than necessary. Having Kadri/Dvorak for the duration of Dvorak's deal is way better than Dubois/Lowry for one year, Dubois is NOT signing long term in Winnipeg.

I think the Jets are stuck with Wheeler for another season, can maybe deal him in his last year as a UFA.

While Kadri will decline and that contract would be a bad one by the time he really declines in a few years there'd be a whole bunch of contracts expiring and they'd have plenty of space to ride out his contract while they're in a rebuild, this would be a move to make a push while Scheifele, Helle, Connor and Ehlers are still in Jets jerseys.

Anyway its unlikely Kadri would sign in Winnipeg, I just wanted to see what it'd look like. I think this forward group is a lot better than it is now.
