Chicago trade is horrible for Vancouver. Myers has more value than Johnson from a positional standpoint alone

Besides the trade, I think you are dreaming if Severson only gets that much of a raise. I don't love him, but RHD are expensive.

Not so sure I'd label it horrible personally. If it was the only trade in the ACGM I'd say VAN definitely shouldn't do it, as they need Myers on the current roster. But considering the Severson trade/extension it does make sense for VAN to free themselves up from the last year of Myers' deal.

Severson also won't be signing for that little though.

Probably not, but I don't have any time for Tyler Johnson

Whoops, I just noticed that Johnson has the same term as Myers. It's a definite no from me then too. I thought he was a UFA at the end of the season.

There’s a zero percent chance Severson signs a 4x$4.75. That very low. Gudbranson just got a 4x4 and he’s coming off a career year of 17 points…

That alone would make a perfect off-season.

I think he gets something close to Justin Faulk's extension....7 years x $6.5 million.

I'd wager it comes in the 5-6 year 5.5M - 6M range

$6 million x 6 years sounds right to be. I just like the Faulk comp since I think the on-ice comparison fits too.

I don't see it happening while the cap is flat
