Guhle is a decent start but a late 1st is pretty mediocre. If Calgary is selling Huberdeau they aren't looking for a player like Dvorak with term. They are looking for more rebuild pieces

Habs pass. Decent value but Huby is still a pending UFA. If he wants to play in Montreal, we'll sign him in July. Not worth moving an unprotected first and Guhle for him to make us marginally better in a year where we desperately want a top 3 pick.

Happy to talk about sending you Dvorak for something though smile

Its not really a deal Montreal would be interested in making.

The florida 1st is unprotected so until we get to the tdl and know with more certainty what the pick is theres not much appetite to move it. If florida crashes and burns (which is not out of the question huberdeau weegar marchment gone duclair hurt and only tkachuk coming in). It could end up being much better than a late 1st it would assumed to be now

Guhle is a non starter they arent trading a cornerstpne piece for a 29 year old winger (a position we are well stocked in for the future)

How many games has Guhle played in the NHL? AHL? Careful throwing around words like "cornerstone". Or maybe that's the state of the Montreal franchise. Calgary has a cornerstone to throw in - Jusso Välimäki. At least he has played pro.

Oh please, Florida being out of the top 5 in the league? An incredible misfortune would need to occur.
