I highly doubt that Stastny has any interest in returning to the strip, particularly after seeing his buddy Patches getting thrown out the door.

There is no rationale for ANA to do that deal whatsoever

Milano isn’t a top 6 player hence being spoon fed the minutes and Anaheim not signing him to a cheap QO.

Is that why they signed Klingberg?
They still need older player and Martinez have a trade value for ANA.

Signing Klingberg had nothing whatsoever to do with building for the future, either with youth or veterans; it had to do with making an easy profit at the trade deadline. That's not true of Martinez at all.

Neither I nor my esteemed colleague @jded said, or even implied, that Alec Martinez has no value to Anaheim. What we said is that we aren't interested in trading away a potential future #2LhD for him. We have sufficient veteran leadership with Fowler and (for at least the first three quarters of this season) Klingberg and Shattenkirk. We're looking at the development of this team long-term, and Martinez doesn't fit into that.
