It's on NHL Network in the US. You can subscribe for a week-long free trial on FuboTV to watch it in English (just remember to cancel).

Watching the WJC reminded me just how big Knies is

As man you can just pick him out of the group without looking at the jersey

USA looks great, if a bit raw, and they're getting better with every shift. Absolute domination, shots are 25-6 in favor of the US, and the only real chance Germany had was off a brutal drop pass turnover by the US in their own zone on the PP which led to a Germany breakaway stopped by Mbereko.

One more takeaway: You only realize just how skilled the NHL is when you watch other leagues/tournaments. The top WJC teams are always good, but the NHL is a whole 'nother level.

Cossa, not Garand, starting for Canada tomorrow

Saving Garand for the real matchups, he looked wayyy better in the exhibition

Craig Button is on smoke; there's no way USA isn't getting a medal. Like, I watched Czechia and Slovakia this aft (not Finland unfortunately cuz I had hockey) and this is just so much faster. It's legit some of the best hockey I've seen in a long time, just the pace and the skill. Did I mention the pace? Those guys were FLYING around the ice, the Germans couldn't have possession for 2 seconds without an American up in their face! It's the most fun hockey to watch in maybe my whole life.

Thomas Bordeleau and Matt Coronato are unbelievable. The whole team is just amazing, but those two are just incredible. So skilled and they can execute at such speeds. I love this team so much, I don't know how Canada's gonna do against em grimace

1) Button's always on smoke, he's a complete moron. There are few people in the world of hockey that know less about hockey than Craig Button.

2) Finland (as expected) tore Latvia to shreds, the line of Kemell-Raty-Hirvonen combined for 11 points. I know it's Latvia, but still, the Finns looked terrific-they're a dark horse in this tournament for sure.

3) US is absolutely flying-they look more in sync with every shift, they're dominating in every facet of the game, they're tearing the Germans to shreds. They do look a bit raw though, so I'll be interested to see how they do against Canada/Sweden/Finland, but for now, just enjoying it. This is awesome. #USA!

We’ll have to see how their goaltending holds up against a contender. Everyone looks good against the bottom feeders, and despite some strong showings in recent years, Germany is very much a bottom feeder at this tournament, and their most relevant guy is apparently injured too. Even I can only find two skaters to get excited about (neither of whom are drafted nor likely to play in NA), and I typically have too much love for obscure European prospects that are good on bad national teams lol. Glotzl and Blank are my guys fwiw. Them and Munzenberger are gonna have to be big if Germany wants to make the quarterfinals. And my guy Florian Bugl of course

I don’t think it’s fair to call the Finns a dark horse. They’re probably a top 2 team in the tournament on paper. It would be disappointing if they didn’t medal.

Matt Knies took a nasty shot to the neck/side of the head from Geibel on that netmouth puck in the air. Looks ok now though.

Don't know why that Coronato goal wasn't a high-stick, but I'm not complaining. 5-0 USA.

EDIT: A 10-minute review followed by another coach's challenge ON THE REVIEW which then gets the review overturned?! What the heck?!

…did the schedulers realize that they gave Canada the 6pm EST game every time? They do realize the tournament is in Edmonton, making that a 4pm start right? There’s no reason Canada shouldn’t be playing the evening game every time. And that should preferably be a 6-6:30pm start local time, rest of the schedule be damned. Not like they’re pulling in a crowd to see Germany vs. Switzerland in August anyway, might as well play that at 10am rather than noon.

Ya that’s stupid. Like anyone with a job isn’t going to be able to just stop working by 4 pm to watch those games.

OY. That goal let in by Quapp (scored by Duran) is legitimately one of the worst goals I have ever seen let in, period.
