2022 WJC Discussion Thread

Tell me whose dome that and has flopped in the nhl


Team Canada has played 2 games lol and they’ve been against Latvia and Slovakia, getting points vs weak opponents isn’t exactly an accomplishment and plenty of players have had good QMJHL tenures and then couldn’t make the NHL on a consistent basis, junior success does not equal NHL success, someone like Nail Yakupov, Micheal Dal Colle and plenty of others should remind you of that

Roy was a steal of a pick for being in 5th round tho. Guy looks like he’ll be pro.

Speaking of steals I’m pumped to see what Brandon Coe truly is; this is the year we find out.


I think I've already posted this to CF but I watched a Hamilton vs North Bay game and Coe was unreal, super skilled and mobile for a big man

Nice forehand/backhand/five-hole breakaway by Henry for the Swiss to tie it.

But Faber's shot that gave the USA the 2-1 lead was perfect. Beautiful wrister.

Mazur's having a heck of a game, Slaggert is playing great as well.

Bedard is 2 years younger, scoring at a similar pace in a harder league

Roy is a good prospect but nowhere near as exciting as Bedard. I can guarantee you that if you went back to 2015 and told people that McDavid is overhyped because he hasn’t played a game yet, you would be called crazy. Nobody would think you’re crazy if you weren’t hyping up a late round pick from 2 years ago

The point is, Bedard’s potential is likely a top 5 center in the league. Roy’s potential is likely a good middle six forward

No negative just haven’t sat down and thought about it. I assumed it was Powers but for myself I’d have to sit down and take a look.
