Description
Just for reference, I do not think the Islanders should do this. We haven’t had a first round pick since 2019 and this ACGM makes it so we wouldn’t pick in the 1st round again until 2026 😂. Just having a bit of fun, so please don’t freak out if my value is a bit off for a trade, I was just trying to see what the team would look like.

I think that it should be said that this team has all the tools to win a cup except for a scoring offense. There top 6 D is insane, goaltending is arguably the best pairing in the league and they just lack depth up front.

The team as they currently stand or are you referring to this ACGM with Miller, Kane, Tarasenko, and Kadri added? Because i'd say this ACGM has more than enough offense to win a cup.

Yeah sorry I meant the Islanders, this team definitely has more than enough scoring now, I was more just justifying these moves.

No worries. Just wanted to clarify, but I figured that is what you were saying. I agree, though. They could seriously contend with just a few more offensive pieces like this ACGM does. They would be giving up a lot, but if they can find a way to lock one, two or all of Kane, Tarasenko, Miller, they could continue to contend for at least 3-5 years. The Isles have so much potential they are just so bogged down by contracts right now. Hopefully they don't miss the window with some of these players.

This team could win a cup but there’s one problem. Palmieri has a NTC and would cost more than a second to dump imo. I would argue they should probably forget acquiring Kane or Tarasenko because even without one of them this team would be stacked.

Honestly the player on this roster they need the least is Kadri lol

For sure. I think i'm gonna try my hand at a NYI's ACGM. So don't yell at me when I do. haha

This one is pretty decent as a framework. I’m just not sure Vancouver says yes. A first, Holmstrom and Bellows is ok value but there’s nothing there that moves the needle considering Vancouver needs d prospects more than forwards.

Also with the Tarasenko deal I’m assuming the retention is being handled by a third team?

Canucks pass. A 1st 3 years from now, an unneeded winger prospect, and meh winger that would be a 4th liner at best for us doesn’t help us at all

Vancouver says no. Bellows doesn't do anything as a winger for the team. Holmstrom isn't that exciting of a prospect, and the first is too far in the future
