Bad for EDM too, but nonsensically bad for NSH.

Zadina >>>> JP. Nashville easily declines but it really doesn't make sense for Detroit either. Right now Detroit needs the RHD more than they need another winger.

I’m a huge detroit fan. With detroit getting all this depth in D, Hronek is a huge trade piece and he’s good offensively but he’s kind of a defensive liability. Zadina I think should get 1 more year to prove himself but he’s on very thin ice. I am hopeful that Zadina can become that 30 goal scorer but I’m not confident in it happening

Wings have a doeth of ready RHD and all the prospects that they do have are close to ready LHD and any RHD are years away.

Plus JP is not an Yzerman kind of player, due to his holdout and Yzerman had enough of that with Drouin.

Agreed, detroit could get a better player (preferably a higher end forward) for their surplus of rhd and picks.

No way Nashville are giving up Jeannot (a forward with valuable grit in his game) and a somewhat promising prospect in Glass for Hronek and a 3rd.

I'm a bit of a homer when it comes to Hronek but in todays NHL you need a 5th player in the rush to score regularly so a dmans offensive ability means more than it used to and that is just a reality of the salary cap. All that aside Hronek plays 22min a game and I like Lindstrom but 16min a game looked to be as much as he is ready to handle a game. So moving Hronek with out a solid replacement doesn't make much sense. Now if they could've signed Klingberg then yeah that would make Hronek expendable but Yzerman wasn't going to give him the term he wanted so he went to Anaheim. I think Zadina gets a last chance under a Lalonde but I think they offer him a 1yr deal making him a more attractive target at the TDL if he still can't produce.

Absolutely, I thought Klingberg was coming then that could be Hroneks replacement but things just didn’t work out. Maybe under new coaching and more competition in the lineup Zadina can be pushed to break out of his funk. I would say anything 40 points or over for him would be heading in the right direction
