Trades
1.
TOR
  1. Crouse, Lawson [RFA Rights]
  2. Stecher, Troy ($625,000 retained)

Arizona could prob flip Muzzin at 50% retained for a better return, maybe not so much for Holl though.

  2. Muzzin, Jake
  3. 2024 4th round pick (TOR)

Why would Arizona want Muzzin and why would Muzzin waive his NTC for Arizona

Because Arizona could flip him at 50% retained for assets. I did not know that Muzzin has an NTC though, so that would probably prevent it from happening

Arizona would rather get the young assets now

Lololol…. not a chance the Sabres do that

We’d MUCH prefer Olofsson to Kerfoot
And the picks are nice & all,
but we’ve already got 3 picks in the 2nd of next year’s draft
And we had 11 picks in the last 2 drafts- including a total of five 1sts & three 2nds

Our prospect depth is loaded,
picks just aren’t gonna be what we’re looking for
We’d much rather keep the better player

So with this one trade, Arizona will no longer be able to retain on any other trades the rest of the season (max of 3 retrained transactions.) Holl is a liability, and Muzzin has little value, even retained. Prettt sure Arizona would rather keep Crouse then do this trade.

As usual another delusional leafs fan posting an AGM that doesn’t consider or care what their trade partners need or want: “**** whatever your team needs, all that matters is the Queefs!” Not that I can blame you when reality is less fun than this fantasy world you live in. Almost 20 years of first round purgatory would make anyone insane.

Pretty awful for buffalo. Olofsson underrated on here, then we are retaining for 2 years and getting back kerfoot and some non-firsts. No interest at all.

Why would Toronto trade their best playoff playing defenceman???? Muzzin should not be traded, they should want more players like Muzzin!
