When are Sabres fans going to realize we need RHD so much more than LHD. That being said not a chance to this trade.

Ducks fans need to step off their high horse and stop demanding core forwards for a top 4 defenseman

our lhd are mccabe, gorges, and guhle. mccabe is probably a second pairing guy, gorges should be playing 12 minutes a night on the third line (preferably somebody elses third line), and guhle has played like 4 games in the nhl, you cannot plan for him to be a fixture in the top two pairings for 82 games. antipin is left handed, but the guy played on the right side in russia. maybe hes real good and hes fine with moving to the left, but from where im sitting, we still have a huge need on the left.

I guess people ignore actual facts.

Looks at the Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson trade.

I agree to an extent. Hall > Reinhart and Vatanen > Larsson lol.

Trade aside, Top 3 D aren't core players? Just because the Ducks have players that can step into more prominent roles doesn't diminish what these players are. Lets not mistake the idea that the Ducks are willing to move Vatanen that he isn't a core piece to our D right now.

    Um... what?!
Our defense currently looks like this for next year

    .....LH..........RH.....
    ??????? - Ristolainen
    McCabe - ???????
    Gorges - Bogosian
    Guhle
    Falk

So idk how u figure we need a RH shot more than a left handed guy?

Even if u add in Antipin...
u can't be putting him on the top pair already
He's a LH guy, but plays the right side a lot
But even if we kept him in the left side...
that would mean that ideally he's on the 2nd pair with McCabe on the 3rd, or vice versa

Pairing him or McCabe with Risto should be our last resort
