Canes pass. Dubois reportedly only wants to go to Montreal, so why should the Canes waste assets on someone who doesn’t want to be there and a center they don’t need? No reason whatsoever for the Canes to make this trade. And besides, the Canes don’t move big pieces for rentals.

Well that’s quite the ignorant take, considering the Canes and Necas are close on a 3x2 year deal. 1 minor move is all it would take to fit and as under the cap.

Definitely the best trade offer out your 5 made...canes would accept if they can get dubois to extend, otherwise any deal with him is dead before it starts.

Mate as a Canes fan i have to disagree on 3x2yr deal lol Necas would be doing himself a disservice not only now but for the future as well. Personally im on the wall of trying to flip himor wait to resign him on a 1-2yr bridge deal some point this season
