Raty isn’t available in a deal for a 34 year old right winger.

2023 first are coveted in this league. Strong strong draft. Not giving up top prospect and '23 first for a 34 year old with no guarantee he resigns. Kane would have to agree to extension before the deal for either of those pieces to be included

Kane agrees to a 5 year extension before the trade is completed. Would you still give up the 2023 pick?

That 34 year old right winger is Patrick Kane. He's still over a PPG player on a really bad Chicago team and showing no signs of slowing down. Adding this guy into the fold keeps NYI's championship window open. You'd not make that move for Raty??

Raty was a PPG player in Liiga last year. The list of guys who have done that at his age is pretty short. There is a very good chance that if Raty pans out that this Kane trade package is worth more than the DeBrincat trade package smh.

Because he'd sign before the 35+ year contract kicks in. Front load the contract to keep cap hit lower. If he retires at 37, NYI isn't hit by cap recapture.

Terrible idea for NY. Really can’t say enough that the isles can’t afford to get older.
