I'm thinking CHI's 2023 first round pick is off the table for essentially anything.

Not to mention they just traded away a 21 year old center and a 24 year old winger. I'd imagine Davidson is attempting to rebuild with a core all around the same age. Chychrun probably doesn't fit that age group he's going for, and they probably won't be competitive until he's a UFA anyway.

Panik costs 250k against the cap. No benefit here for the Isles.

    Chicago's not moving a top 5 pick.

Chychrun does not get you a top 5 pick. He is overrated and AZ's asking price is TOO HIGH. Hence why they haven't moved him yet. No one wants to pay that price. The only way you get a top 5 pick for Chych is if you make the trade and that team does way worse than projected and neglected to put any protections on the pick in the trade.

Chych going to CHI makes no sense. Both tanking teams want futures

Chych is 24, Jones nearly 28. And takes approx. half of his salary. How can you write, he's not a future?

Yeah you're right in that their Seth Jones signing goes against the current tank plan. I guess I imagined Chych would go somewhere that would compete immediately instead of in 4-5 years
