Is there a reason I don't stop seeing Necas in trade resently? Did Carolina GM have spoke to wanting to trade him ? Because to me he's seen to be a good center prospect.

There's no reason for Winnipeg to do that considering they also get stuck with Gardiner.

Canes still aren’t trading value for rentals. And the Canes aren’t trading for another Center they still have no need for

Why do you keep commenting on Carolinas great center depth? Dubois would be a massive upgrade over JK

Maybe because it would be at most 2 year of PLD compared to 8 years of KK? Just some small stats but KK was putting up a 1.5PPG pace when he was playing 15:00 minutes or more during the game, and in an 8 game sample size of him playing as either 1C/2C in the Covid stretch, he was putting up a 2.5PPG pace. The Canes aren’t going to trade 8 years of KK at a contract that will probably look like a steal halfway through, for a player who doesn’t seem to want to play here, who likely would only take a 1 year contract just so he can walk off to MTL. If you haven’t noticed, the acanes don’t move first rounders very often, and when they do, it’s for players either with term or who would be willing to resign long term. The Canes trading for PLD is as comical as the Canes making any moves for Miller. It’s a move that makes no sense.

I think Canes would be overpaying here nonetheless and PLD even if he is a “rental” i dont see him putting us over the top to be able to win a cup. Necas alone and a 2nd and 3rd rd pick would prob get it done because the potential of necas and he has shown to be a good nhl player despite this one down year. And to answer your question for the other guy; you see Necas in so many trades atm because we cant afford to sign him on a 4-6yr contract rn until Gardiner contract expires at the end of the season or we do roster roulette to fit him in if he doesnt want a 1-2yr bridge deal
