With No More Moves

Description
Curious to see what the defensive pairings end up looking like-- do they go for a stacked left side, or do they go move Ekholm or McDonagh to RD?

Alternatively, I could see the herd line stay together as the 3rd line, Trenin - Sissons - Jeannot, and a 4th line of Tolvanen - Glass - McCarron/Leonard/Sanford/training camp standout

If the coaches get real funky, what about:
Forsberg - Johansen - Tomasino
Niederreiter - Glass - Duchene
Tolvanen - Granlund - Jeannot

Part of me thinks the D pairs will wind up being:

Josi-Ekholm
McDonagh-Carrier
Lauzon-Fabbro

Seeing as how we have no idea who McDonagh will or won't have chemistry with, that's the wild card pairing that will affect how the others shake out.

I could definitely see that— but may as well just trade Fabbro if that’s the plan. I can’t see his value going up playing 3rd pair with Lauzon and probably getting 3rd string PK minutes. Fabbro + picks for Miller and Schenn? A deal for a guy like Necas (though I don’t see CAR doing that, just a guy like that)?

Another thing to think about is that TBL played their big 3 all at LD at 5v5 I’m pretty sure, with a much weaker right side— so who knows.

Funnily enough, I did have a Fabbro-Miller proposal yesterday, that VAN fans seemed down with:

This was before Trenin's arbitration announcement, FWIW. I really think those forward lines could do some damage.

I’d prefer to keep Trenin, but those lines aren’t bad. I’d prefer to have a skill guy with Miller though if possible— we just don’t have many in the roster outside of Forsberg and Duchene

Too true. Evangelista and Kemell can't be ready soon enough for me.
