Not really. They’d just put Carter as the 3RW in this scenario. But even if that was the case, why would the pens overpay for this.
Lowery and Blueger are pretty much a wash. Kapanen is way better than Appleton as Appleton is a fringe 4th liner. More likely a 13/14 forward. And a 2nd is much better than a 4th.

I also don’t think Winnipeg would be interested in trading Lowry.
