ARI can sign Crouse to get to floor or accept any other teams dump. Dumps will cost, ARI has no reason to do the trade

Asplund is better in the defensive zone than Barrie is and gets paid less. Sabres top 6 is set

There is zero statistical evidence, both points metrics or analytical, that would even remotely justify a "hard decline". JPP has produced points at a higher rate and has driven play at a higher rate while being one of the fancy stat defensive darlings. The only argument for Kakko is he is younger. Other than that they are very similar just with JPP being a better offensive driver. JFresh Hockey shows this in an easy format to see

That’s not a real offer for Girard. I mean come on you trade for him and put him in the top pairing, do you really think a 24yr old top pairing capable puck loving dman locked up for half a decade is worth that? You know he is worth a whole lot more.

Well as the description for the trade says the key to it for the Avs is they need to 5M cap space. So they can't take on a roster player and in turn lose some of their leverage as every team is cap strapped

That’s a ridiculous. One of the most savvy front offices with multiple in house candidates for 2C isn’t selling Girard short to a conference rival for penny on the dollar. Seriously honestly assess the trade from COL perspective and tell me they are trading 5 five years of Girard in his prime on a sweet deal. The answer is no 100 times out of 100.

Yeah sure maybe Kadri doesn't return and this is moot. Obviously this is just spitballing my guy that's the whole point of this function. The Avs can't take somebody like JPP or even Broberg (unless they banish him to AHL or make other cap clearing deals) to accommodate the purpose of this completely made up scenario. Just relax lol

NYR says no. First of all Kakko is on a two year contract for less money. Secondly Kakko is younger and still hasn't reached his potential. And personally I do not like how Puljujärv looks. Might sound silly but I don't want to see that face every time I am about to watch NYR hockey.

Lol, don't need some fresh prince guy's stats on how PuPu got more points in Edmonton's top 6 while Kakko developed into a reliable player in mid 6, while cheaper and more promise. Hard pass

Buffalo tells you to **** off and **** off pretty hard with that trade offer. It’s been said maybe a dozen times or more here that Buffalo has no use for or desire for Tyson Barrie or his ridiculous, stupid contract. Never mind giving up Apslund who is an important player to the team and significantly better and cheaper than Tyson Barrie.

No one wants to spend almost $3M cap on a decent bottom-six guy like Foegele. A team could overpay Johan Larsson and get a better player who can lineup at center for 70% of the caphit.
You need to pay someone to take him.

Also, Arizona reaches the floor easily with Crouse and Hatton signing.

Both Kakko and Puljujarvi are busts, its hilarious watching both sides get bent out of shape for players that wont be in the NHL in 3 years
