Trades
1.
ANA
  1. Blackwood, Mackenzie
  2. Bratt, Jesper
Additional Details:
due to recent events im wondering if a potential trade request is in Bratt's future

-Different views on bratt's value to the team
-Zacha's departure (Bratt's close friend)
- Might want to settle down and find himself a long term home but wants confidence from his GM in his ability

Blackwood- another player that looks to be losing favour with the NJ management team. this is a low risk high reward situation for the ducks, blackwood could boom on a new team with maybe a confidence boost if not he's a good stop gap till one of Clang or Dostal reach their full potential
NJD
  1. Gibson, John
  2. Groulx, Benoit-Olivier
  3. Perreault, Jacob
  4. 2023 3rd round pick (MIN)
  5. 2024 1st round pick (ANA)
Additional Details:
2024 1st top 6 protected.

Perrault- Potential 30+ goal winger

Gibson- Solidifies Jersey goalie situation for the next few years until potentially Daws or Brennan take over

BOG- future 3/4 line checking forward that works hard every shift

I can't see anaheim moving their 23 1st due to how stacked this years draft is and if they did i could see it having some strict protection on it like 1 of the 3
- Lottery Protected
- Bratt scores 90+ points
- Blackwood wins 35+ games

so it would almost just make it worth it for NJ to take the 24 pick with lesser protection
2.
ANA
  1. Faksa, Radek
  2. Khudobin, Anton
  3. Stranges, Antonio
  4. 2023 1st round pick (DAL)
  5. 2024 2nd round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
Dallas wants to be very active during the TDL as they believe they have a good chance at going deep in PO's so they try to clear as much cap as possible. This could be one of the last deep run's they have for a while as Benn, Sequin, Pavelski, Suter aren't getting any younger and chances are they start to rebuild soon for the future runs they make with Robertson, Hintz, Otts, Heiskanen, Bourqe, Stankoven, Johnston, Harley etc
DAL
  1. Lundeström, Isac
  2. Shattenkirk, Kevin ($1,950,000 retained)
Additional Details:
TDL trade

Assuming Dallas is all in for PO's, I think with their new coach they will see better offensive production from the likes of Benn and Seguin, Dallas is also in desperate need of RHD's and i think Shattenkirk could fit nicely next to Suter or Lindell.

with Anaheim's rather strong future C depth (Zegras/SOAP/ Guacher) and already better vets (Henrique/Strome) Lundestrom could be the odd man out. He may not be quite the defensive presence Faksa is but he is better offensively, younger and on a better contract

Both trades are a no to me

Not getting enough while spending a whole boatload and Lundeström in the Dallas deal makes it a no to me

bratt is a top tier wing though and is good all-around he would solidify that 1st line for the next 7+ years

Which is why your suggested trade is woefully inadequate for getting Bratt.
Gibson's been one of the worst performing goalies for two seasons by now, he doesn't carry any value whatsoever at the moment.
Perreault and that 2024 1st are pieces the Devils aren't interested in as they are moving out from the rebuild and not looking to extend it.
There really is nowhere near enough value here for the Devils to give Bratt up here.

The only pieces making any sense for a Bratt trade that the Ducks have got are Zegras, McTavish and Terry.
Neither of which I expect the Ducks to have any interest in trading away.

I don't think there's a deal to be made between these two teams.

Assuming they even made the deal the devils would just take the protected first for 2023 and wait for it to be unprotected next year.. guarantee the Devils have negative interest in a 1st 3 years out.

I like Gibson more than most Devils fans.
I think a workhorse 55-60 start #1 is exactly what this team needs.
I also like what I have seen, read, heard about both the prospects there.

But I would still keep Bratt if we can.

I’d do Kirk for Dobby, Stranges, and a pick. Not sure why Anaheim would move Lundestrom

I would calm it down on the complexity. You just don’t see trades with this many pieces on both sides really ever in the nhl.
