I love that other people are thinking of Dobson -> Detroit haha
I think my problem with this is that the Isles are in win-now mode, so I don't necessarily think Berggren entices Lamoriello the way that it really should.
And as someone mentioned in my trade proposal, Lamoriello may lose his job if he moves Dobson. A lot closer to the right value Lamoriello would look for, but I don't think it's in the right form.

I think this guys gonna lose his job anyways. I feel like they need to start getting key young assets while still attempting to win. In my opinion i think the isles will slip into rebuild in about 2 years with a lot of mess.

Ultimately I agree that the Isles need to look to the future, which they kinda did with acquiring Romanov, hitting the mid-point between "get young" and "win now". They seem to want to be rebuilding on the fly while still wanting to win now, which is... difficult. If that's really what they're doing, then this may well be the right haul for Lamoriello.

Yes I always do believe that you can always build a future and still be in win now mode. Take Yzerman for example. Right now I think the wings are ready to take off, but he’s still waiting for key pieces to make it a dynasty

This is a horrendous proposal for the Isles. The two best players in this trade is Dobson and Barzal and neither are getting moved.

If the redwings wanted both Barzal and Dobson, it would start with Edvinsson and Raymond - and that wouldn’t even get it done.

Raymond is a lot more valuable than Dobson, and then if edvinsson turns into Seider then NYI would have to throw a couple 1sts in there

The rumors i’ve seen make them look available. Look at their GM he’ll make a dumb move

Raymond is not more valuable than Dobson. Dobson is already an elite top pair RHD. Edvindsson is not turning into Seider, the odds of Edvinsson turning into a better than Dobson are extremely low

There have been no rumors about Barzal and Dobson being available , they are both untouchable.

Lamoriello fleeced Yzerman in the Leddy trade, Aatu Raty would be your top forward prospect.

The pick that yzerman traded ended up being Raty who will be a top 10 player from that draft. It was a terrible trade for the redwings.

I could care less if Lou gets fired

They don’t really need Raty. I would care if Lou gets fired he’s the one ruining the franchise

He might end being better than veleno but he’s no where near the potential of Kasper

Raty put up identical numbers to Lundell and Sebastian Aho, he has more potential than kasper for sure
