    Welcome to CapFriendly. Sometimes, it's not too friendly.

    This isn't bad for an initial effort. As @Shibbal18 says, teams almost never sign a free agent and then trade him, and I think that you've undervalued Scott Mayfield, as @FXOC8118 and @mokumboi say, and you have to pay more attention to the effect your trades have on the other teams' caps, but your general strategy is an entirely reasonable one.

    Don't be discouraged by criticism, no matter how harsh, and keep trying.

    Barrie and Ceci are worth WAY more, and Holland already refused to include Broberg in a potential Chychrun deal, so that's not happening.
