Dach and the first are a nice start, but the Jets don't have the cap space to waste on two cap dumps.

You'd need to add at least two firsts, one to dump Armia and one to dump Hoffman, but they'd need to be moved elsewhere.

You're best off trying next summer as there is very little chance Dubois is moved now, barring a spectacular offer.

This is the first pretty decent offer for Dubois I've seen on here. But like Windjammer says, taking on Hoffman and Armia who's an overpayed 4th liner isn't very likely at all.

Maybe Kirby Dach, FLA's 1st round pick and Anderson is a more reasonable offer? I'm pretty sure the Habs would think such an offer is too much to give up tho.
It also completely depends on what kind of season Dach has. Does he have 1C or 3C potential, we don't know just yet!

I hope Dubois gets traded to another team soon so my fellow habs fans would move on cause it’s kinda repetitive

Yeah Dach + a first + Anderson is getting a little too rich from my perspective. I think this Dubois is dead as habs got not cap space

Why give up so much for a player you can get for free in two years. It's not like adding Dubois now makes the Habs a Cup contender anyway. Just be patient. Let's see what Suzuki and Dach can do as a one two punch down the middle and evaluate if we even need Dubois in two years.

Yeah I do agree that it's a lot. There's also a great chance you'll get him anyway in 2 years when the team is more playoff ready! No need to move heaven and earth for him now

Winnipeg would have no interest in Anderson. He's not a cap dump yet, but heading that way quickly.

Your asking Dach, Dvorak, Armia ,Kidney plus a 1st for Dubois. No way habs do this

Anderson can very well bounce back. I know that a lot of teams would like Anderson on their team cause they like the way he plays and I think the Jets management are amongst them tbh. It's just that his term Is a bit too much and too long.

Dach- quite possibly a bust, coming off a pretty bad season
Armia- essentially a cap dump at this point
Kidney- decent prospect who has yet to play a pro game
Dvorak- low end 2C/good 3C
Floridas 1st- likely mid to late

Yeah its really not that much.

I certainly hope the Jets aren't one of the teams and I don't think they are if moving Dubois. Anderson's contract as you say, is too much for too long and it's unlikely the Jets will want to get older if they move Dubois.

Habs just traded a 13 OA for Dach so he’s far from bust territory and worth quite a bit…and that’s just him alone
I think you are setting yourself up for disappointment with expectations like this if a trade with any team goes down for Dubois imo

What Montreal traded for him has no bearing whatsoever on whether Dach is a bust or not.

These aren't my expectations, I figure the Jets will get much less for Dubois but what I'm suggesting is hardly an overpay.

In what I'm suggesting there's six pieces being moved, the only sure thing of the six is Dubois.

PLD makes no sense until he's a UFA as he's not going to sign for less
Nor does him coming early and f'n us on a top 5 pick this year help us , just WPG
Not a single scenario with our Dcore i can think of in which this deal helps MTL today

Especially with Justin Holl as top RD which hurt more then how bad of an idea bringing PLD in now is.
Let WPG suffer another year and chances are his value drops again this year like it did last.(before PLD was top player mutliple 1st +++ now its a player and a 1st+
Declaring you want to be in MTL while trying to get a deal elsewhere hurt him most as far as trade options given him history (always asking for trades 2-3 years into a new team)

Actually what Montreal payed for him should give you the exact valuation of what habs value him at. Hardly bust value to anyone thinking rationally.

It doesn’t matter really anyhow…. Trade will likely won’t happen anyhow
