Absolutely not. Not even within a ballpark of fair value. Vancouver blocks your number

it doesn't cost a 1st, 2nd, and 4th to dump dickinson and poolman

Demelo is worth a 2nd. A 1st and a 4th to dump two bad contracts

Vancouver is not giving up their first (mind you they missed the playoffs last year) to get 5.1 million in “cap relief”

They also could just bury them and just lose 2.9 million dollars

One player is under contract for 2 years. The other is an RFA next summer. Dickinson and Poolman are not any good and both are under bad contracts for more than a year

What’s Vancouver even going to do with the cap space? Nothing. They have no point, and I mean no point to do this

dickinson is still a good 4th liner, poolman is servicable. they are both overpaid, but it's there is no way in hell vancouver gives up a 1st in a loaded draft class just to unload them
that also isn't an argument for getting more for demelo than dubois

Dude nobody is paying an unprotected first in that draft to dump 2 contracts that don’t need to be dumped

If that’s what it cost to dump those contracts, it should cost Dallas 3 firsts to dumps Faksa and Khudobin

Colorado obviously declines, Connor isn’t worth 3 firsts +, did you not see the Debrincat trade? Although Carolina probably takes that and runs (If they could afford it, which they cannot)

Kyle Connor is a better player than Debrincat and he has 3 years left. He’s worth 3 firsts when one is Florida’s and it’ll be late

And I checked each trade out yes Carolina can afford it

Of course but with Gardiner on LTIR and Necas traded it works perfectly and makes your team infinitely better

Might as well include Necas in the trade since Winnipeg is getting hosed

COL isn’t trading Byram 1 for 1 for Scheifle much less adding a 1st.

You’d rather keep a kid that hasn’t lived up to his draft status than get another number 1 centre that’s averaged a point or more per game for 6 years in a row?

You’re delusional if you think the Canucks are going to give up those valuable picks to dump less than 5 mil in cap. We have 0 reason to make such a foolish deal

Leading Rookies in points in playoffs and leading the team in ES TOI in the finals. Imagine if he lived up to his draft status?!

Shows how much you know. Who led all Stanley cup defensmen in TOI in 5v5 situations? Who also crushed it all together in the playoffs? Who is under team control for the next half decade? Yeah that’s Byram. Avs win the cup and the Jets didn’t even make the playoffs. So yeah tell me more about how the Avs are going to over pay for a 29yr old pending UFA they couldn’t re-sign who would arguably be at best the Avs 5th best player. So yeah the Avs are trading Byram 1v1 for anybody on the Jets.

Can’t just put somebody on LTIR bc you want to. You’d have to take him on in the trade bc he’s not going to be on LTIR.

You won’t be winning another cup with Newhook as your second centre. Scheifele is a player you should be beating down the door to get
