Was this a good signing?

I think this is a bad deal, because Boston is now over the cap and they are too old to compete. I think they will get worse this season and they might even miss the playoffs. If that happens, they could panic sell at the deadline.

Yerah I think thats what'll happen.

I like the player, still some untapped potential...but thats going to be hard to realize if hes stuck on the 3rd line, and walking him right to UFA status? makes no sense. He isnt worth this contract based on last year.

Maybe Zack thinks he's gonna put up big boy numbers if he plays with Pasta. He's betting big on himself. Not sure why?

Very disappointing player. He'll be heading for Europe in next 2 years.

Exciting or disappointing that's just a matter of one's expectations. Zacha is an average NHLer, neither better nor worse, who just signed for average NHL money.

A third line c costs about 3-5 million. So seems fairly paid to me

Wow they're going clean slate next year. Their top 3 C's are all ufas at end of year. Gonna be an interesting team building with their d core locked in and likely a goalie. Good wings. And no c corps to speak of

Lol the worst of the three gets the biggest deal

Bergeron can end up getting paid 5 mil. But my guess is that Bergeron and Krecji took discounts to try to help the team.

Coyle is 3c and locked up. Zacha is a wing mostly.

Last year Coyle played more C than Zacha, but the year before the reverse. They're both, both. Regardless, its a fairly clean slate
