As an Oiler fan, I wouldn't be overly keen on that deal. We need defense upgrades more so than anything else and giving up two solid defenders is a tall ask. That being said, I get the appeal for Montreal lol

Minnesota has 13 players on the roster for the 2023-2024 season and only $17.1 million of cap space. I really doubt that they're going to use up $6.5 million of that cap space on Brendan Gallagher and his awful contract, leaving them only $10.6 million to spread among 9 players including Matt Boldy and replacements for Matt Dumba and Dmitry Kulikov.
