If Travis Sanheim is going to sign that, then I'm all for that trade.

I was debating putting 6x5 but it just makes sense for the ducks to get a super underrated ld that they need badly

Seems awfully steep no? Groulx and Tracey are some of our higher known prospects.

Nope… Would rather keep Sanhiem in Philly and move Provorov… he’s very very good. Definitely not a steep price

If I was more confident in Ellis' health, I think this would be a great move for CBJ; unfortunately, I also think the Gudbranson trade foreclosed something like this in terms of cap and roster spots.

We'd have to move out a couple of D in order to make this work on our roster.

Yes, but they're not the level of prospect such as Pastujov or Perreault, so 6 years of Sanheim (this season plus the 5-year renewal) is worth it. Of course, whether he'd actually sign that extension is utter speculation.

Columbus might not say yes to that, but it is a starter and would get them thinking. I know Ellis is oft injured, but CBJ could really use him healthy on the top pair. The deal just needs tweaked. Maybe a higher pick, or maybe some salary retention.

I don't believe Ellis will ever be healthy and up to his old standards ever again. That plus the term on his contract... it's just not worth it. (Which I find very depressing 'cause I was one of his biggest fans for the longest time.)
