Both Locmelis and Lysell had very good games when they played each other in their Quarterfinals debuts. Both players earned themselves an assist, and Locmelis was named Latvias player of the game. Both players drove offense in a huge way. Locmelis played even better than his first game of the tourney. He was a very hard worker in all three zones, extremely good playmaking skills. Very creative passer, and a wicked shot, which was less used in this game but important to throw out there as it was seen throughout the tournament. Lysell, on the other hand, showed off his elite skating again, and packaged it with high end puck skills and playmaking, as evidenced by his assist. Lysell and Sweden move on to play the winner of US v Czechia. Go USA (would like to see Lysell v Duran)
