I wouldn’t even trade Tkachuk, Norris, Batherson or Debrincat for him.

Ok and the isles wouldn’t consider that either. There isn’t a winger besides M.Tkachuk or Robertson that is worth trading Dobson for. Batherson/Tkachuk wouldn’t even get the conversation started.

That is so hilarious to hear. I’m so glad a potential 70-80pt power forward at 23 can’t even start a conversation for a Dman that’s not top 10 in the league. Get real

I wouldn’t laugh too hard. We all know what happens when LTIR kicks in. Ask Tampa

Looks like the Islanders are gonna trade Varlamov to VGK and maybe not have to pay!?

BeterChialli thats an infraction

should get infracted for forgetting how to spell his name. Also you do know you’re allowed to form your own opinions on players right? It seems like recently all of your takes on other teams are just quoting what someone else on here has said verbatim lol

If you’re talking about Tkachuk, no chance. His “intangibles” and reputation are better than his on ice impact. He’s a terrible finisher and he sucks defensively. Very good player, but not trading a young top pair RHD for him. #1 RHD are a lot harder to find than scoring wingers

It’s funny cuz I value Stutzle higher and all he says is you’re wrong. Stutzle is on a better trajectory than Barkov since he got drafted and is finally playing with good players . I don’t think Huberdeau/Barkov production is a stretch . Hell he posted similar numbers to Marner at the same age too and Marner was def playing with better players

Why is Stutzle vs Noah Dobson is a debate it’s a center vs a RHD

He’s only a “terrible finisher” because a lot of his shots are rebounds, which you’re not gonna score all the time, but most models count as a very high iXG number, due to being like 2 feet from the net. And that’s more on the limitations of public xG models than Brady, we need pre-shot puck movement and goalie positioning to be taken into account to refine those models, but that data just isn’t publicly available yet. His high danger chances are also likely inflated due to this, but his shot is fine, and I’d rather have a guy dominating the net front than being pushed to the perimeter. His on ice impact is significant in other ways too, including being a nightmare on the forecheck, and causing goals he doesn’t get points on by creating havoc in front/screening. Expecting everyone to be elite defensively is archaic, if you really want that just re-hire Trotz.

Y’all gotta chill with the Stuzle and Dobson thing. Neither of them are superstars. They are both young players with ONE good season under their belt. If I were to choose, I would probably pick the RHD that basically put up as many points as the forward did this year

Then Marner is a 60pt player. Pettersson is a 50pt player

Not if you have too many centers. I’d say for the Canucks I take Dobson every day of the week.

No, you don’t. Because if you really wanted Dobson, you could trade Stutzle for Dobson+. All else being equal, the centre is always the most valuable position.
