Arizona is going to have a great top 6 in a few years.

Hayton-Cooley-Schmaltz

Arizona got to much competition for Bedard

Chicago is arguably worse so my guess is Arizona gets Adam Fantilli which is still a good pick

Fantilli/Dvorsky/Carlsson and Cooley is still an absolute insane centre core. Plus Geekie lol

I think Geekie will take a long time to develop. Another year in the WHL, 2 years in the AHL. He’ll be a 3C IMO

I’m sure they’ll get a top end D with all their draft picks + what they get from the Chychrun trade

Whatever happens in the next draft, I hope Bedard doesn't end up in New Jersey, Buffalo, Vancouver or any of the Original Six teams.

Bedard in Arizona would be absolutely perfect. Good change of pace for the desert hockey culture.

I wonder if Bedard is the consensus first overall, is Michkov still the consensus 2nd overall pick?

Man, 2023 draft class is just *chef's kiss*

My rankings as of now would be :
1) Bedard
2) Michkov
3) Fantilli
4) Dvorsky
5) Carlsson
6) Yaeger
7) Benson

5-7 is hard to decide but taking the centres over the winger make sense. And decided to pick the guy with the SHL production at 16 over the 2 guys in the CHL. I absolutely love Benson tho

Michkov going 1OA makes no sense considering his KHL deal, #2-3 is probs where he ends up. Fantilli is also good but Bedard just takes the cake as its basically superstar meets gen talent

Bedard is probs first unless he has a very bad season. Arizona getting him to me spells Lindros 2.0 as their current situation just doesnt seem appealing especially for a generational talent and he seems like the guy who would go yeah I dont want to sign with you guys so pls dont draft me lul

To me Chicago makes the most sense considering where they are rn and what they need.

But its a wait and see rn

I wonder

If NYI really are interested in Kadri and with the Lehner situation with the VGK

I wonder if we see a goalie trade between VGK and NYI whereby NYI move on from Varlomov and bring in a cheaper backup in Brossoit. This allows them to gain enough cap space to give

Kadri 7mill, Dobson 5.5mill, and Romanov 1.6 mill (Basing it on Pelech's first deal)

You can ask Montreal fans.

They went from cup finals to first overall in a matter of year.

Pelech’s first deal was signed before he became a regular. Maybe Romanov would take 1.6 mill on a 1 year deal , but I think he’ll get at least 2 mill

Maybe but Lou is known for getting guys to take a paycut and is a wiz at contracts. Wouldnt surprise me if the deal is under 2mill

Injuries, injuries and more injuries, with major injuries being almost the entire leadership group. Mediocre, middle of the pack, not good enough for a wild card spot but not bad enough for good lottery odds was the alternative, so I won't look a gift horse in the mouth.

San Jose Sharks
Knyzhov, former Sharks rookie of the year, missed the entire 2021-22 season due to a hernia and surgery - he was expected to return to top 4 time with Karlsson in October.

Knyzhov has now been struck by more terrible luck. As he has injured his Achilles Tendon training for camp - he will now be out at least 6 months.

Gutted for the guy - I mean his career has been thrown away it seems by poor luck.
