I remember going nuts the first time I saw that sequence-absolute madness. I thought you were going to go with the Henrique OT winner to beat the Rangers in 2012 or the Arnott Cup-winning goal in 2000.

This is actually possible due to Michkov's situation (being in Russia, plus being under contract in the KHL through 2025), but still unlikely.

I wasn't alive for 2000 Cup winning goal but still a great moment. Take that Stars fans @JustABoss
I chose this play because it's a whole sequence rather than a single goal. Also its fitting because it reminded me of the Canada OT GWG yesterday

Hurt for 4 months on top of being stuck in Russia until 2025. I could see him slipping out of the top 5.

Gonna be honest, right now I don’t see him slipping past 3. There is a decent chance that if Fantilli has a huge year and looks primed to jump straight to the NHL that a team will take the huge 1C at #2. But if you were told you could have Kevin Fiala right now, or Alex Ovechkin in 2-3 years, and you’re gonna be terrible next year regardless, you’re taking Michkov over Benson 100% at #3.

I don’t understand why Chicago or Arizona who are both doing 3-5 year rebuilds minimum wouldn’t take him. Not like they need him before then

Yeah man its been a minute. After the SCF i went to wallow in self pity about how we ALMOST beat the lightning.


Nah. Life just got busy after the SCF and i found myself logging on here less and less. Used to be daily now its weekly. Lots has changed, I got a job, started school, getting my license next week, signed up to play hockey this season for the first time since '19-20. Hopefully once the season starts ill be back on here giving some hot takes haha
