good low value contract for a 6th or 7th dman, question is where he'll fit with so many defensemen in the red wings corps

Amazingly, with this signing, only one player actually went to arbitration this year-Trenin.

He was asking for 1.7 I think so not a bad number for Detroit even though they wanted a 2-way.

Amazing what a difference a few years makes. Pretty recently the Wings blue line consisted of the corpses of Green/Daley, a broken DDK, and a traffic cone/turnover machine known as Jonathan Ericsson. Now they may actually be able to help Husso/Ned out a bit

I genuinely have no idea what the roster is going to look like at the start of the season. currently have 10 D-men that could be on the roster with really only 3 of them as locks to stay on the team (Charot, Sieder, Maatta) and a plethora of forwards with Zadina still not signed. I would like to think there has to be a trade at some point, my hope is bertuzzi is gone by the deadline

He was a healthy scratch much of last year, right? And his has only 12 points in basically one season of play, right? So why is he getting more than league minimum?

We have 7: Chiarot, Seider, Maatta, Hronek, Hagg, Lindstrom, Oesterle. Walman and Pysyk are going straight to IR with Pysyk’s injury being long term and Edvinsson isn’t a lock to make it. If he does make it, that’s a problem for another day
