The Winnipeg trade is at least intriguing, swapping clague/bryson/pilut for a 6'7" stanley is something that on paper makes us harder to play against, plus mittelstadt never did much for me. I'd pass on the Florida trade, olofsson is very talented, I think if he's healthy he's worth more. The winger market is pretty soft, there's no good reason to trade him right now, unless there's a solid defensive right d coming back- and there absolutely isn't.

Think we make a move for pasta? I agree about Olo but would be nice to get something for him. I guess it wouldn't hurt to keep him if the above roster is pushing for the cup (which I think it would)

I can't see pastrnak coming here. If I'm gonna throw a 10 million dollar contract at somebody, it's gotta be a 1C or a 1 right d. I think this season is going to be a real opportunity to see what we have with all of these young forwards. Next summer there may even be a chance to throw some money at pat Kane if it looks like we can make a push, but our young wingers aren't quite getting the job done.

I think adding pasta makes it less necessary to have a traditional 1c. I think between Thompson and cozens pasta pushes them from 2c/1b to a fine 1c.
The. You can wait and hope savoie or their 2023 pick is a 1c
