If I'm the Islanders I'm saying no, and if I'm the Kings I'm saying no. Neither defenseman is all that appealing compared to the forward being traded away, and the pick isn't enough to make up the difference.

I don't see the Kings moving Iafallo until they are for sure set with their top-6 and Byfield is comfortable without him.

Dillon is the right type of player but too old for a team leaving a rebuild.

Wrong and inadequate return for Iafallo. Either Dillon and the 2023 first or Heinola or Samberg plus a 2023 second, and you guys don't have one.

if they sign kadri i don’t think this is far off. look what bjorkstrand got and he’s definitely the better player

I don't understand why Dillon keeps getting these quality returns in ACGMs. He's a $1M defenseman with a $4M cap hit and on the wrong side of 30.

I'd maybe give up a 3rd or 4th round pick if Winnipeg retained half his salary.

Not the main point of this post but I like the ZAR signing...I think he would be the perfect 4th line guy for WPG, great defensively.

He's an older and crappier version of Zadorov. No thanks.

There's other players I'd rather see the Isles ship out first for cap reasons to make space for Kadri (Bailey & Pageau)... but I'd probably take this deal as an Isles fan if we had to. It doesn't make the team better immediately but clears cap for Kadri and is a decent draft pick to get back. Stanley would be in competition with Salo for 3rd pairing LHD/extra D man..
