Detroit passes, Contract not team friendly right now.

And it would take more than Bellows to move Bailey's 2 x $5,000,000.

That contract isn't bad at all. He's a good player on both ends of the ice, kills penalties, wins faceoffs, and scores 40+ points. What else do you want... Id be surprised if the islanders even trade him

Yeah can't see buffalo being the team to take on that.

Does bellows beat any of our prospects out probably not.
Does Bailey have a spot on the team no.

I would think it would take at least your 1st next year

I like him a lot too but I don't want to pay a 3rd line center 5 million dollars.

It would be interesting to reunite Bailey and Okposo.
I am amenable to trading Bjork ($800,000 retained) for Bailey plus a sweetener, Bellows is not that sweet.
If you were to replace Bellows with a something of value, this could work as Bailey could help mentor the younger forwards.
