So based on your goaltender records, you're predicting the Pens will get between 106-108 points (depending how well the "backup" plays). That's......optimistic?

Carolina, both New Yorks, Columbus, and New Jersey should all be better this season and will likely make point gains. Washington probably takes a step back and Philly will be terrible.

I do think Pittsburgh will be a playoff team, but I don't think they'll crack 100 points. They'll finish 3rd or 4th in the division with 95-99 points. Two or three of the teams that miss will be in the high 80s and low 90s instead of being way out of the playoff hunt.

I love doing this.

I see you have the top players staying relatively healthy. might be prudent to allow for more injury time.

You also want to be aware of total team goals. You predicted only 14 skater goals, but already have 271 team goals. This would represent a top-10 goal scoring team based on last years numbers. In the last three full 82 game seasons, this is actually right on par with the Penguins team goal total. It's possible the Pens top 14 goal scorers match your predictions, but it's more likely they come up 20 goals short, with supporting players making up the difference.

You are a little higher on some of your forwards than I am but all of these are reasonable. You’re basically projecting all of you’re middle six forwards to have really good years, which all of those guys could but I doubt they would in the same season.

I think Sid has an outside chance for 100 points if he stays healthy. Rust is too low considering he's playing with Sid and Jake. Malkin is a little too high imo. I think Petry will do better than what people think but your projection is understandable.

Pretty reasonable for all. One hope is that with our top PP averaging well over a minute + per PP, maybe we will actually see Petry on the PP1 and if so I can see Geno easily breaking 30 goals being back on the half wall where he should be always.

I mean, maybe optimistic but 100% realistic. They had 103 last year and were on pace for 113 over 82 games the year before. Dealt with injuries both seasons. Yes other teams got better - but the Pens also have a better roster to start the year this year than last year

I think maybe Rakell is the only one who you could say he projected to have a really good year. The rest are pretty even with what they've done recently, or even worse.

Seems pretty reasonable to me. I think Crosby will crack 100 points if he plays 75 games
