The second year makes Hoffman much harder to dump

Byron probably the easiest to dump

All team have their "Hoffmans" to dump. Really it's not realistic with his two year deal. Maybe the new motto in a cap strapped league...."You sign 'em, you keep 'em"

If Montreal wants to move Hoffman they have to get cap back, if they can find a team looking for power play sepcialist third liner with an overpaid bottom 4 RD it'd be a match made in heaven, a guy like Zaitsev let's say. It would be perfect as, no we'd still have the same cap hit, but we would be filling a need.

I just don't think there is as much interest in moving Barrie as some may be thinking. Who knows maybe I'm wrong but he seems to fit in very well with the team and has been really good for Edmonton in the playoffs.
