Bjorkstrand would have been a great fit with the Jets, but they missed their opportunity to get him. I don’t think Seattle would consider getting rid of someone they just traded for.

I agree, depends what their plan is. If it to build through draft picks then they might.

Dubois isn't a good fit for Los Angeles. Kings have Kopitar, Danault and Byfield at center, all of whom have at least two years of term, and Fiala, Arvidsson and Kaliyev at RW, all of whom have at least two years of term. And then there's the problem of cap: after re-signing Mikey Anderson, we'll have about $1 million in cap space.

bjorkstrand got two mid round picks and pacioretty was literally free, Wheeler is a worse player and has more cap hit than both of them. The first should be going to washington, not winnipeg

I wouldn't compare any trade to a vegas trade, we all know their trades are a**

that is true but I would still expect winnipeg to either take back an equally bad contract or give up assets to move wheeler this year -- pretty much every team has their cap structure set, and big cap hit scoring wingers who don't do anything else (and have lots of baggage around their off-ice fit) don't really go for much these days. If they keep him until next year and flip at the deadline 50% retained I could see them getting a nice asset back, but thats pretty much the only scenario

Why would LA of all teams want another center?

I completely agree with you, wheeler is NOT good. He isn't worth a 1st even if his cap hit was 4 million.

maybe at 50% he could get something decent, but nowhere near this.

Everything @OldNYIfan said, in addition to the fact that the trade cost is too much for a rental. At least, more than I think LA (or any team) would be willing to pay.

The Jets really have no reason to consider moving Dubois at this point.

Kings who are loaded at centre have no need for PLD. Washington doesn't need the expensive Wheeler especially at the price of two inexpensive forwards, and you expect the Caps to include a first rounder too?

Mainly because nobody would trade for him - he’s tanked his trade value by his agents public comments about the Habs and wanting to be a UFA ASAP. Not someone I’d want to trade for…

Flat cap certainly didn't help his trade market; but, yeah, it's the worst known secret PLD wants to go to MTL. Quite possibly exclusively. Been going through this since the start of his third year with CBJ.

It's going to be Tavares 2.0 - he's gonna sign there and share the childhood pajama pics.

Other than your first two sentences and your last one, which are only your assumptions with no factual backup, you might be right.

...so the "actual situation" with WPG is one he has been dealing with for three years now across two teams?

I also take offense. I'm only speculating on the pajamas.
